Cabane de la Niscoude

Cabane de la Niscoude is a free, non-guarded backcountry shelter in the French Pyrenees. It has 4 mattress spaces and additional room on the floor (about 3–4 people). The hut includes a functioning fireplace (open hearth) and basic cooking gear, plus tools such as a wood saw, shovel, and brooms.

Inside, you’ll find cookware and eating basics (plates, cups, and cutlery, including pots) alongside the efficient open-hearth fireplace. For power/heat, there’s no stove, so come prepared to manage firewood needs yourself and use the hearth as your heat source.

Water is available from a source just before the hut when approaching from Péguère. The shelter isn’t reservable and is used on a strict first-come, first-served basis.
