Cabane de Lhéris

Cabane de Lhéris (also known as Cabane du Lhéris) is a free, unstaffed pastoral shelter in the French Pyrenees near the Casque du Lhéris, above the village of Asté. It’s set up for hikers who want a basic overnight stop on long crossings in the area, with use on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservable booking system).

The shelter is very basic and generally left open; bring what you need for self-sufficiency. Another cabane nearby and routes over the Casque du Lhéris are common objectives around it, making it a useful waypoint if you’re planning a day or longer traverse in this sector.
