Cabane de Lou Pi

Cabane de Lou Pi is an unguarded backcountry hut managed by Tous à Poêle in the Matheysine area near Saint-Michel-en-Beaumont. It’s set up for overnight stays without online booking, using self-management.

Inside, the hut has tables and benches on the ground floor and a sleeping area on a mezzanine; it includes a wood stove/poêle for heating. There’s no nearby drinking water; water is kept in a reserve inside the cabane, and it’s recommended to bring or treat your own water. the hut is having 5 possible sleeping spots on the mezzanine. Use is free and the essential rule is to respect the place and help keep it in good condition (leave it clean, take your waste back down, and participate in upkeep.
