Cabane de Lourdes
Cabane de Lourdes is a small, unstaffed mountain shelter in the French Pyrenees near the GR10. It sleeps 6 across two areas, and it’s set up for basic overnight stopovers rather than a staffed refuge stay.
Sleeping gear is on you: there are no mattresses, and no covers are provided. Bring everything needed to cook and heat yourself if required, plus a sleeping bag, and plan to treat any water you find nearby—water is in the torrent (carry/treat supplies). The hut includes a chimney, but wood/fire capacity isn’t guaranteed around the shelter.
Operationally, use is free and works on a first-come, first-served basis; no bookings are required. Inside, the two sections can differ in condition—one side is much cleaner than the other. Capacity and layout are 6 total, and a few internal items (like metal bunks and a table in the hiker area) are by recent visitors.
