Cabane de Ménil

Cabane de Ménil is a free, unmanaged wilderness hut in the Vercors Massif (France). It’s set up with a functional wood-burning stove and basic furnishings, including tables and benches, plus space outdoors for gathering wood. The hut is in very good condition with an interior wood reserve and a saw.

There’s no nearby running water; plan on bringing your own water or managing water from small streams in the area. The stove has been workable but without a chimney system, and overnight sleeping is not guaranteed—entries consistently report no planned sleeping capacity or bedding.
