Cabane de Méollion

Cabane de Méollion is a basic, unstaffed backcountry shelter in the Ecrins area, used for self-supported overnights. It’s a small refuge set up for a short stay rather than a staffed mountain stop, with very limited built-in comfort and no indoor running water.

The shelter’s capacity is as up to 4 people. Inside, you’ll find a table and a basic sleeping platform; water availability is not inside the hut, and you’ll need to plan to reach water sources nearby. Use is free and there’s no reservation/guard system, so expect first-come, first-served sleeping space.
