Cabane de Pierre Arnoux

Cabane de Pierre Arnoux is a backcountry, non-guarded shelter with space for up to 6 people. It’s known as “Belle Cabane” and has picnic tables nearby, plus a nearby water source from a nearby spring/fountain; plan on fetching and treating water before use.

The hut has no fireplace or stove provided. Bring your sleeping gear and the rest of your emergency shelter and cooking setup (the shelter is intended for self-sufficient use).

At an elevation of about 1308 m, it’s typically used for overnight stays by hikers working the surrounding massif routes. Since this is an unstaffed shelter, rely on conditions you observe on approach and pack out everything you bring in.
