Cabane de Pio det Lurs

Cabane de Pio det Lurs is an unstaffed backcountry shelter in the French Pyrenees, used as a free, first-come first-served stop near the GR10 above Azet. It’s a concrete hut in good condition with a chimney, plus a small wall recess for provisions and a small bench inside.

Plan for no stove and no water on site; you’ll need to bring what you need. The hut provides shelter but no lower sleeping platforms, so expect sleeping to be on the bare floor. Access is from Azet: follow the D225 up toward the Col d’Azet, then take an obvious but unmarked track that climbs from the roadside and leads to the hut (it’s visible from the village).
