Cabane de Plaede - Luchonais

Cabane de Plaede - Luchonais is an unguarded backcountry shelter operated by ONF at 1,090 m. Use is free and it’s run on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservations).

It has sleeping space for about 5 people with 2 mattresses on a lower platform plus room in an upper loft. Inside are wood-stove/wood-fire provisions (fireplace/wood stove), plus basic tools and furnishings such as a table and benches; a small stream passes nearby for water, but it can run low in summer, so filter or treat water before drinking.
