Cabane de Rouabe
45.2771° N, 6.1051° E
Alpine hutCabane de Rouabe is an unstaffed, very rudimentary backcountry shelter in the Belledonne Massif area at about 2,060 m. The hut is non-reservable and intended as an emergency stop—often just a few wooden boards on the floor—so it should not be treated as a comfortable refuge.
Expect extremely limited sleeping space (commonly 2 to 4 people, tightly) with no kitchen comforts: no heating, no electricity, and no running water. Bring everything you need to be self-sufficient (warm layers, sleeping gear, and water plan). Use it primarily as weather protection or an emergency bivouac rather than a base for a longer stay.
