Cabane de Salontere Vielle

Cabane de Salontere Vielle is a free, unstaffed mountain hut owned by the Mairie de Fos and used as a self-reliance stop for overnighting on the approach to the Fos cabanes network. It sits at about 1,430 m and is open as an “open hut” (no warden on site).

The hut sleeps up to 6 people in a dormitory setup, and it has a fireplace plus wood and water typically available. Plan on arriving with all your own food and the gear you need for an unguarded stay; use is first-come, first-served with no reservation system.
