Alpine hutCabane de Saoubette is an unmanaged mountain shelter in the French Pyrenees near Ferrère, used as a backcountry stop for hiking and other on-foot outings. The shelter sleeps about 15 people, with a large cabin and a mezzanine-style sleeping area.
It has dry toilets outside, and there is a fireplace plus a stove. Expect limited firewood access—bring what you need—while water is available from a nearby river.
The use pattern is simple: no reservations system, and stays are first-come, first-served.
