Cabane des Courades de Bazus

Cabane des Courades de Bazus is a small, open, unmanaged backcountry hut in the French Pyrenees at 1,285 m. It has two tables and two benches plus a fireplace/cheminée; there’s no sleeping platform (no bat-flanc), so you’ll need to bring camping gear if you plan to overnight.

Use is first-come, first-served with no reservation system. The shelter is as having no fireplace-stove system, and wood is available nearby on-site; water is not as consistently available (especially in winter). Access is typically on foot from the Germs-sur-l'Oussouet or Hourc-dessus area, with about an hour of walking in winter conditions from Hourc-dessus.
