Cabane des Drayes
Cabane des Drayes is a small, unstaffed wilderness shelter in the Ecrins National Park area, set at about 1,630–1,634 m. It’s built for backcountry use with a wood stove and basic cooking gear, plus sleeping places on mattresses (4 places).
Inside you’ll find a stove and some kitchen utensils (including casseroles), along with a small woodcutting setup; there is no running water close by and no mattresses are provided beyond the sleeping places for the shelter. Access to water may require walking to nearby springs/points in the Combe des Drayes area. Use is free and operates on a first-come, first-served basis (no booking).
