Cabane du Barrage du Tech

Cabane du Barrage du Tech is an unstaffed open shelter in the Pyrenees National Park near the Barrage du Tech (about 1,260 m). It’s small and austere, meant for basic overnight use rather than comfort, with simple sleeping spots (bats flancs).

Use is first-come, first-served with no advance booking system, and it’s meant for short emergency or overnight stays; it typically fits about 3 people. The hut has a functioning fireplace and you’ll find water nearby, but expect very limited internal comforts (no table). In summer it provides wooden sleeping platforms and basic shelter; plan to bring your own sleeping setup and supplies.
