Cabane du Couret

Cabane du Couret is a small, unstaffed backcountry hut in the French Pyrenees (about 1,420 m). It’s set up for short autonomous overnights, with space for around 3 people, plus a fireplace and a simple interior layout that includes a mezzanine and a wooden bed/platform area, along with a large table and benches.

Use is free and first-come, first-served (no reservations). It’s reached via the GR87 from Cheust or Germs-sur-l’Oussouet, then you leave the GR87 to take the track south up toward the Couret; water is available at Las Sourdes about 1 km to the south along the track toward the Cuq Cremail.
