Cabane du Courrau d Artigue
Cabane du Courrau d Artigue is an unguarded communal mountain refuge managed by the Mairie de Fos, used as a backcountry stop in the Fos area. It sits at about 1,170 m and is a small hut setup with metal bunk beds and additional space on a mezzanine, for a total capacity of 8 people; it has a fireplace and wood, plus a nearby stream/runoff water source.
Use is free and there’s no bed reservation—plan on first-come, first-served. Expect basic hut care rules: keep the cabin clean, restock/replace what you use (notably firewood), and pack out all trash; the cabin can be used during hunting periods, so avoid assuming it’s empty. The hut is on foot access as part of the regional cabane network; it’s also a waypoint for routes in the GR10 area.
