Cabane du Grand Pôt

Cabane du Grand Pôt is a free, non-staffed backcountry cabin in the Vercors area at about 1690 m. It’s meant for self-catering use; there’s no booking service, and sleeping is first-come, first-served.

Inside, the cabin is fairly well equipped but rustic: a wood-burning stove and a kitchen area are available, plus mattresses for up to 10 people (10 beds). Fireplaces are present (wood stove). Drinking water is not provided; plan to arrive with water or be prepared to obtain it elsewhere. Rules for an unstaffed cabin include packing out your trash and leaving the hut clean for the next parties.
