Cabane du Mont Châteleu

Cabane du Mont Châteleu is a free-access backcountry cabin (cabane non gardée) in the French Jura. It’s set up for short stops and basic shelter, with use primarily as a rest point for hikers—especially those moving along the GR5 / Grande Traversée du Jura corridor.

It provides a rustic day-use setup including a large communal table, benches, and a fire pit; plan on bringing what you need for sleeping and for your own waste. Rules are pack in, pack out, and leave the cabin clean for the next group.
