Cabane du mont Turon

Cabane du mont Turon is a non-staffed backcountry hut in the Hautes-Pyrénées (Argelès-Gazost), set at about 1,550 m. It’s intended as a basic step in the network of self-sufficient hut-to-hut hiking rather than a managed refuge.

The hut provides sleeping for 6 people, with very minimal furnishings: benches are present, but there’s no heating stove and no fireplace. Plan to bring your own bedding and cookware; it’s not set up with tools or tableware, and there’s no stove. Fire use is not catered for (no fireplace), and there’s no water right at the hut (water is not within 100 m).
