Cabane du Pic du Gar
Cabane du Pic du Gar is a non-staffed pastoral hut used by hikers, set at 1550 m in the Pyrenees near Pic du Gar. It’s intended as a self-sufficient overnight stop: it has a fireplace, and wood is available, with sleeping platforms and mattresses.
The hut sleeps about 8 people (with capacity up to 8), and there are latrines about 10 m away. Water sources are nearby (small sources and a stream/risks of variable function have been), and there’s no stove—bring your own cooking setup if you need one. Free use is typical for this unmanaged hut, with a small voluntary contribution sometimes expected when a donation box is present; no reservations are taken—use is first-come, first-served.
