Cabane du Plo-Deras Queros

Cabane du Plo-Deras Queros is a small, unstaffed backcountry shelter in the French Pyrenees on the Beyrède-Jumet-Camous slopes near the route up toward Col d'Aspin. It sits at about 1,402 m in a mid-mountain band between ridges and connecting cols, making it useful as an intermediate stop during traverses or as a bailout option when weather changes.

Because it’s an unmanned refuge, plan on carrying your own sleeping setup and food. Use is free and there’s no reservation process tied to the hut—arrive prepared for first-come stays, and keep the shelter clean and pack out your trash. If you’re relying on water near the hut, don’t: nearby sources are several kilometers away, so start with enough liquid for the next section.
