Cabane du Prat du Rey
Cabane du Prat du Rey (also known as Abri du Col du Prat du Rey) is a small, unstaffed mountain shelter in the French Pyrenees at 1,220 m. It’s a simple, hard-built refuge used as a low-key stop on long hikes through the Col du Prat du Rey area, including routes that continue toward the Pic du Pibeste.
Inside, the shelter is equipped for basic sleeping with 4 foam mattresses and a small furnished set (a broom, a small table, and two chairs). There’s a chimney/fireplace, but no cooking stove is provided. Water is available nearby: a point of water is about 300 m to the north-east, and a safer choice is to purify before drinking.
