Cabane forestière de Font Bessou
Cabane forestière de Font Bessou is a free, unmanaged wilderness shelter in the Vercors, used mainly for shelter or short rests rather than full overnight support. It sits at about 1,300 m and provides only simple furnishings: a table and two benches, with two windows fitted with shutters but no glazing.
Use is straightforward—no booking or reservation process is used. The entry/door mechanism has been as having a broken latch that can be handled from inside, and the structure is generally fairly minimal: no stove, no fireplace, and no water source at the hut itself. A nearby water point is around 570 m away.
