Cabane forestière du Lauset

Cabane forestière du Lauset is a free-access, unstaffed forest shelter in France’s Vercors. The hut is entirely wooden and sits right by a forest road that can mean regular foot traffic.

Inside, you’ll find sleeping on a wooden floor with space for about 6 people. Basic furnishings include tables and seating, plus a wood stove/cooker; a water source (Fontaine du Lauset) is close by (around 95 m). There’s no indoor sanitary infrastructure.

The shelter is first-come, first-served, with no reservation process. Plan to carry your own sleeping gear, tidy up when you leave, and be ready to share the hut if other hikers arrive.
