Cabane forestière du Plainet
Cabane forestière du Plainet is a basic backcountry shelter (unmanned, free-standing) in the Écrins National Park area. It’s a small, practical refuge for emergency use or brief stops; overnight is generally oriented toward local use rather than a staffed accommodation service.
The hut has no sleeping places on some references, and water is not reliable nearby—expect dry periods and plan to carry enough. Access is most commonly described from the Gauchoirs via a steep approach: after taking a forest track toward the Combe Blanche, you turn onto a smaller path that becomes difficult through scree, then regain a better line before reaching a small power-line area and finally the hut along the shoulder.
