Cabane pastorale de la Lavine (Valgaudemar)

Cabane pastorale de la Lavine (Valgaudemar) is a shepherd’s cabin in the Parc national des Écrins, used for overnight shelter when it’s not occupied by grazing activities. It is a small, unmanaged option (sleeping space is not guaranteed).

Use is linked to the pastoral estive: during the shepherding season (mid-June to mid-October) the cabin is occupied and hikers can’t stay there. Outside that period it may be left available as a free emergency shelter. Basic shelter access is supported, with a fireplace and a shower, while toilets are not available.
