Cabane pastorale de la Pale

Cabane pastorale de la Pale is a shepherd’s hut in the Écrins/Matheysine area used in the pastoral season and not a public backcountry refuge. It’s closed to hikers and reserved for shepherd use.

Access information points you to start from After Corps (from the D.212c turn left to the church, then drive right toward the Mathieux parking at about 1230 m) and approach via the GR Tour du Valbonnais Beaumont, following the ruisseau des Fallavaux; just above the col de Pres Clots, there isn’t really a footpath and you follow markers around the terrain.
