Chalet d'accueil du site de Terre-Blanche
The Chalet d'accueil du site de Terre-Blanche is a backcountry alpine refuge and day-use staging point in La Pesse (Haut-Jura Saint-Claude). Use it as a warm-up stop and base for winter dog-sled (mushing) operations and for accessing the Nordic network in the area; it’s set up as a day-room facility rather than an overnight lodge.
At Terre-Blanche, the use area is about 800 m from La Pesse on the road toward Oyonnax, at the lieu-dit Terre Blanche. The chalet provides a salle hors-sac (day room) and toilets, and the mushing site has specific parking instructions: vehicle/dog-truck parking must be arranged in a herringbone (épi) pattern in the designated lots. For operational rules around the hut and electrical terminals, follow the Haut-Jura Saint-Claude Regulations; seasonal operation runs from April to December (outside this window it is not scheduled for use).
