Chalet de Rif Premier
Chalet de Rif Premier is an unstaffed wilderness hut in the Belledonne Alps, with space for about 5 people. The hut has a stove (poêle) and provides drinking water on site.
Use is free on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation. A noticeable seasonal constraint applies: from June through late September, it is only intended for emergency shelter and protection, so plan alternative overnight options for regular stays.
Practical gear: plan to bring water treatment because conditions around water can vary, and be ready to manage nights when the hut is not in its normal “leisure” use. Basic toilets/shower facilities are not provided; the hut is equipped only with a stove area and sleeping platforms.
