Chalet des Espagnols

Chalet des Espagnols is an unstaffed backcountry shelter in the Bornes-Aravis/Semnoz area. It’s also known as Chalet du Plagnon, and it’s a free place to bivouac/overnight on a first-come, first-served basis rather than a hut that takes reservations.

The hut has a fireplace. It sits at 1154 m and is close to other nearby cabanes/abris in the same area. Bring your sleeping system (no reservation/booking process to rely on).
