Chalet - Refuge de Nant Borrant

Chalet - Refuge de Nant Borrant is a backcountry mountain hut on the Tour du Mont Blanc route near Les Contamines-Montjoie. The refuge runs as small dorm-style accommodation and is also used as a place to stop for food and drinks during the day.

It has around 35–37 beds in a handful of small dormitories (6–9 beds each). The refuge operates on a summer season (open from June 1 and closing in late September), and bookings for stays are handled via the Tour du Mont Blanc booking systems; the refuge typically releases summer-hiking availability in mid-October for the following season. A nearby, authorized bivouac area is available for people camping along the route.

On-site, you can eat at lunchtime and for evening meals, and showers and hot water are available. The refuge doesn’t accept credit cards, and there are limitations on electricity use (clients are asked to conserve power). Bag sheets are recommended, and duvet bedding is provided.
