Chalet-refuge Les Trois Fours

Chalet-refuge Les Trois Fours is a backcountry mountain hut run by the Club Alpin Français on a high plateau in the Vosges, between the Col de la Schlucht and the Hohneck (1197 m). It’s a year-round base for walks, winter snowshoe outings, and for skiers to link into nearby areas; it also sits close to the GR5 and routes around the Falaises de la Martinswand.

The hut sleeps 40 (9 dormitories, with one PMR bedroom and 8 dormitories; bunk beds). It has a large dining room, a prepared picnic area, and a meeting/training room for 20–25 people with internet access via RJ45. Dog and other animals are forbidden in the refuge and within the nearby Frankenthal-Missheimle nature reserve sector.

Use is by online reservation, and the hut is open every day except Tuesday evening in winter, and from Wednesday 9:00 to Thursday 16:00 in summer (outside school holidays). Gardiens live on site year-round by reservation.
