Deuxième bergerie de l'âne

Deuxième bergerie de l’âne is a small backcountry shelter (cabane non gardée) in the Belledonne area, at about 2100 m. It’s a stone hut used for overnight stays on a first-come basis, without any staffed operation or booking system.

Sleeping is for up to 2 people on a bat-flanc. The shelter is left unlocked when not in use, and it may be occupied by a shepherd during the summer grazing season. Expect simple conditions: no fireplace/wood stove, no bedding guaranteed, and plan for your own warm sleeping system and lighting.
