Echo Point Hut

Echo Point Hut is a small backcountry hut on the Overland Track near the Lake St Clair end. It’s intended for trail users, but because the structure is small, a tent may still be needed when the hut is full.

Access is tied to Overland Track travel in Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park: you need an Overland Track permit, and peak-season permits (Oct 1 to May 31) are required for track access and related provisions. Hut use operates on a first-come, first-served basis rather than standalone hut bookings.
