Flanagans Hut

Flanagans Hut is a standard 8-bunk backcountry hut in Kahurangi National Park (Nelson/Tasman area), run by the Department of Conservation. It’s first come, first served—no standard booking is required—and it includes a fireplace and mattresses. The hut has a pit latrine and no drinking water is provided.

Stays use a hut ticket: buy a Standard Hut Ticket (blue for adults, yellow for youth) for each night and put it in the honesty box at the hut, or use a Backcountry Hut Pass that covers unlimited use at most Standard and Serviced huts for a 12-month period.
