Habert de Pravouta

Habert de Pravouta is a backcountry mountain refuge on the eastern flank of the Chaîne de Belledonne, at about 1,600 m. It’s a small working mountain farm turned into a refuge, with shared sleeping in simple rooms and a wood stove in the main area.

The refuge sleeps 8 people and has a fireplace. Meals are available on request, prepared by the guardian using local ingredients; water comes from a nearby stream. Practical guidance is geared to summer use—snow blocks the approach from around November through April—and winter visits require prior arrangement.
