Habert des Ramées
Habert des Ramées (also known as Cabane des Ramées) is an unguarded backcountry hut in the Vercors area at about 1,620 m. It’s set up for overnight shelter with sleeping on a mezzanine and a small common room with a table and wood stove.
Capacity is about 8 people, with use on a first-come, first-served basis—no formal booking system. There’s no water nearby, so plan to bring enough or expect a significant walk to water sources. For fire use, the hut’s heating setup is a wood stove, but take care with chimney/fire use and local rules; some recent guidance indicates the chimney has malfunction/dysfunction risk.
Access is essentially free-flow lodging (open refuge style), and the expectation is that users bring their own gear and keep the hut clean for the next party. Some access may be seasonally limited around sensitive wildlife nesting areas, so follow on-site/marked restrictions when they’re present.
