Alpine hutHistoric Warming Hut is a rustic mountain warming hut at Mt. Hood Skibowl, used for warming skiers on the ski hill. The hut sits mid-mountain between the Lower and Upper Bowl, about ½ mile above the main lodge at Skibowl West, and it’s equipped with a stone fireplace inside a compact 400-square-foot building.
The hut is associated with the Skibowl historic mid-mountain warming-hut tradition that began in the 1930s and continues on weekends when staff serve food and drinks; the concept is described as “warming skiers since 1937.” Group bookings are handled through Mt. Hood Skibowl’s group sales/events process (sales team advised to ask about availability).
