Mazama Lodge

Mazama Lodge is a bunk-style basecamp near Government Camp in the Mt. Hood area, operated by The Mazamas for backcountry hut-style stays. It includes bunkhouse-style dorms plus select private rooms, and you bring your own sleeping bag and pillow.

The lodge setup is communal and rustic, with a large great room, a fireplace, a commercial kitchen, a game room, and shared showers. Reservations are required in advance and sell out quickly; stays are open Thursday (4:00 PM–8:00 PM) and Friday–Sunday (7:00 AM–8:00 PM), with Monday–Wednesday closed. Mazamas membership (or affiliate membership with an approved outdoor organization) is required to stay.
