Hospice du Rioumajou
Hospice du Rioumajou is a road-accessible backcountry refuge/gîte in the Rioumajou valley near the Spanish border, set at 1,567 m. It has sleeping capacity for 24 people and operates in the summer season, with use hours from 16 April to 30 October (and it also welcomes guests daily in July, August, and September).
Meals are served on-site, and the refuge is used as an overnight stop as well as a lunch/dinner option for walkers approaching from the Frédancon parking area. Reservations are strongly recommended for lunch and essential for dinner/overnight stays; the phone and email contacts are listed for making those reservations. Traffic restrictions apply in July and August: there is no vehicular access from Frédancon to the hospice between 12:00 and 16:00.
