Jas de Jartier

Jas de Jartier is a free backcountry hut in the French Alps at 1,882 m, used as an unstaffed shelter (cabane non gardée) in the Vallon de Sellon accessed from Molines-en-Champsaur (Hautes-Alpes). Use is first-come, first-served with no guarantee of overnight accommodation.

The shelter is very basic and typically provides minimal sleeping space along with a simple interior setup (including a table and a hearth). Water is usually available from a nearby stream or torrent—plan to treat it—and there may be times when the hut is closed to the general public or used by shepherds during grazing periods.
