Kauritatahi Hut

Kauritatahi Hut is a basic three-bunk backcountry hut in the Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park, run by the Department of Conservation Te Papa Atawhai. Use is free and bookings aren’t required—it's first come, first served.

Inside you’ll find three bunk beds, plus a fireplace and rainwater storage. Drinking water is untreated; plan to filter or treat. A pit latrine is located about 20 meters behind the hut.
