Te Rereatukahia Hut

Te Rereatukahia Hut is a Department of Conservation backcountry hut. It has a fireplace, mattresses, and toilets with pit latrine disposal, and drinking water is untreated—plan to treat water before use.

Use requires a DOC booking: reservations are required and a pass is needed to reserve a campsite. There’s a charge per night for adults and youth (with children/infants free), and prepaid ticketing is used for reservations.
