La cabane aux ânes

La cabane aux ânes is a small private cabin tied to Refuge Évariste Chancel near La Grave, used as an independent 11-person base about 100 m from the main refuge. It’s promoted as an option alongside the dormitories and panoramic room, with access to the main refuge’s meals and facilities.

For stays, booking is handled through the Refuge Chancel booking process (contact the refuge for dates). There’s also the option to arrange a picnic for the following day. The main refuge runs seasonally in summer (mid-June to mid-September).
