La Ferme de Retord

La Ferme de Retord is a backcountry farm-hut-style lodge on the Plateau de Retord (Billiat) in the Jura. It’s reached on foot in summer along GR9 and the Grandes Traversées du Jura (GTJ), and in winter by snow travel (snowshoes or skis).

Plan to reserve with the hosts. Stay and meals run year-round, but contacting them directly is important—cell service can be unreliable in the “zone blanche.” Overnight rates are 20 € per night, with demi-pension 60 € per person and pension complète 80 € per person (taxe de séjour not included). The dinner menu runs 23–32 €. For bivouac, a tent area is available with sanitary and kitchen access for 5 €.
