La Pouya

La Pouya is a backcountry alpine hut in the French Alps near the Senépy area. It is an unstaffed mountain structure used for self-reliant overnight stays, and bookings/keys are arranged directly with the private caretakers or through local tourism contacts rather than a single central reservation portal.

The hut is associated with the Chartreuse massif and is typically approached from the Col de Porte by following the GR9 southeast through forest and climbing steadily to the hut. Access timing is seasonal and can vary with snow cover; plan for staffed availability only during the core summer period and expect additional winter complexity outside that window.
