Le Baccu

Le Baccu is a small backcountry-style shelter at the edge of the Sentier du Guêpier hiking route area in the Jura, near Etrepigney. It represents a former temporary charcoal-worker and forester dwelling, restored/repurposed as a heritage stop for day visitors exploring the trail corridor.

The structure is a single room built from horizontal timbers with gaps sealed using moss or clay, with a rustic interior built around a table with benches plus a simple hearth area. It’s presented for discovery rather than overnight lodging, with no sleeping provisions provided.
