Lockhouse 10
Lockhouse 10 is a backcountry-style wilderness hut run by the C&O Canal Trust in Cabin John, Maryland, on Clara Barton Parkway (8250 Clara Barton Parkway). It’s a small historic lockhouse property with a themed interior tied to the 1930s Civilian Conservation Corps era.
The hut sleeps up to eight and is set up for overnight stays on a reservation basis (up to three nights per visit). It includes a full working kitchen and bathroom, plus a private screened porch. Bring your own sheets, pillows, blankets, and towels; there’s no fireplace provided. Fees apply and the stay pricing is listed on the operator’s booking pages, including seasonal nightly rates and an additional cleaning/maintenance fee applied to the first night.
Reservations are handled through the C&O Canal Trust’s lockhouse booking flow, selecting the first and last night of the desired stay.
