Lockhouse 6

Lockhouse 6 (“Brookmont”) is a backcountry-style wilderness hut on the C&O Canal in Bethesda, operated by the C&O Canal Trust. It sits right by the towpath near Towpath Mile 5.4, accessed via Clara Barton Parkway and identified address-wise as 6100 Clara Barton Parkway, Bethesda, MD 20816.

The house is set up for overnight stays for up to 8 guests, with a kitchen and hot water. It uses a reservation-based booking process through the Canal Quarters system, with a 3-night maximum stay limit; reservation is required.
